Lennar is seeking a Senior Accountant to participate in all aspects of revenue and cash general ledger accounting and month-end close process. We’re looking for a candidate who is a future leader with a focus on innovation and teammate engagement and transformational activities. The candidate will be highly detail‑oriented and have a commitment to drive efficiencies throughout the financial reporting function to enhance the monthly close‑to‑report cycle as well as the internal controls over financial reporting and consistently deliver high quality financial data to key stakeholders in a timely fashion.

Responsibilities on the Team
  • Supervise the centralized accounting for the homebuilding revenue and cash transaction cycles by overseeing the daily, automated revenue HUD and cash process and reviewing and posting the daily closing journal entries for home sales for 40 divisions on +$30B in revenue.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot variances in the cash and revenue process working cross‑functionally with Division accounting, Lennar Title, and Treasury to resolve issues in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Formulate an understanding of the Lennar homebuilding business and accounting processes; evaluate ways to improve efficiency and drive automation.
  • Review and analyze the reconciliations of all corporate cash accounts utilizing Blackline.
  • Supervise the general accountant in coding and posting cash to the homebuilding divisions and act as a liaison with the Division to identify proper coding to the general ledger.
  • Work directly with Accounting Manager / Director on a regular basis to address accounting issues within critical accounts.
  • Perform other month‑end reporting and projects, as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • Master’s Degree preferred
  • CPA or CPA candidate
  • 1 – 3 years in public accounting and/or with a public company preferred
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, management, analytical, decision‑making and research skills with the ability to prioritize and multi‑task accordingly in a fast‑paced environment
  • Proficiency with MS Excel and Word. Experience with JD Edwards, Essbase, Blackline
Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements

This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the incumbent to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.
