Description

Are you an accounting professional who enjoys working with ERP systems, improving processes, and playing a key role in the month end close? We are partnering with a stable, family owned organization to identify a Staff or Senior Accountant who will support a collaborative accounting team while gaining valuable SAP experience in a highly visible role.

This is a retirement backfill with a planned transition period, giving the incoming professional several months to train alongside the current employee before assuming full responsibilities. It's an outstanding opportunity to join a company with long term stability and make an immediate impact.

What You'll Do

+ Support the month end close process through journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations

+ Extract, review, and maintain accounting data within SAP

+ Prepare reports by exporting SAP data into Excel for analysis and reporting

+ Work with large data sets using filters, pivot tables, and other intermediate Excel functions

+ Assist leadership with initiatives designed to improve efficiency and shorten the monthly close cycle

+ Collaborate closely with the Accounting Manager and finance leadership on daily accounting operations

+ Perform recurring transactional accounting activities and reporting responsibilities
