Cost Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented Cost Accountant to support accurate financial analysis and cost controls within a manufacturing environment in Elkmont, Alabama. This role focuses on evaluating product costs, maintaining standard costing processes, and providing insights that help improve operational and financial performance. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills and hands-on experience with manufacturing cost accounting.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze product and manufacturing costs to ensure accurate reporting and informed business decisions
• Maintain and update standard costs while reviewing variances and identifying underlying cost drivers
• Prepare regular cost analysis reports to support budgeting, forecasting, and operational planning
• Partner with production and finance teams to monitor inventory valuation and improve cost accuracy
• Review material, labor, and overhead expenses to identify trends and opportunities for cost control
• Support month-end close activities related to cost accounting, including reconciliations and financial reporting
