What We're Looking For
This part-time Administrative Associate provides high-level administrative support within the Dean’s Suite of the Hankamer School of Business, with primary responsibility to the Associate Dean for Faculty Excellence while also supporting the broader operational needs of the office. The role requires exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills to coordinate complex schedules, manage correspondence, and assist with faculty‑related initiatives and projects. In addition, the position serves as a key support to the dean’s assistant and contributes to the day‑to‑day operations of the Dean’s Suite by managing a variety of administrative tasks with discretion, maintaining confidentiality, and ensuring professionalism in all interactions with faculty, staff, students, and external stakeholders.
The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic academic environment.
An Associate degree and one year of relevant experience are required. A bachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience is preferred. Additional education or experience will be considered in lieu of one another.
Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States on a Full‑Time basis.
What You Will DoAssistant to Associate Dean for Faculty Excellence
- Serve as primary assistant to the Associate Dean for Faculty Excellence with assistance to other associate dean's as needed
- Plan, coordinate, and execute faculty‑focused events and initiatives
- Coordinate and oversee the Undergraduate Research Assistant Program
- Assist with faculty processes within Baylor's Review, Promotion and Tenure system
- Organize events that support faculty collaboration and community building
Primary Back up to Dean's Assistant
- Serve as the primary back up to the Dean's Assistant, stepping in as needed to support executive‑level operations with professionalism, discretion, and efficiency
Other Duties As Assigned
- Efficiently organize and manage correspondence, calendar, and appointments
- Serve as the initial point of contact for the Dean’s Suite by fielding incoming calls, addressing inquiries, and routing communications efficiently
- Maintain and organize all confidential data, files and documents
- Perform other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission
- Ability to comply with University Policies
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
