Job Responsibilities
As an auto technician apprentice you will help diagnose vehicle malfunctions, recommending and performing appropriate diagnostic repairs. You will also need to help the technician keep their bays in order on a day to day basis.
Other Responsibilities of the Auto Technician Apprentice Role Include
- Help examine vehicles to diagnose necessary repairs
- Help documenting all work performed clearly and accurately
- Attending and successfully completing factory training as required
- Keeping informed of factory technical bulletins
- Understanding and following federal, state and local regulations
- Meeting all requirements of state and federal law for automobile repair
As a technician apprentice you must have the ability to comprehend instructions and have the drive to learn new automotive knowledge. Previous experience is not required but you must have a willingness to learn. Ideal candidates are goal-oriented team players who are dedicated to providing quality service and have a drive to succeed.

- Basic mechanical skills and manual dexterity
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Team oriented and flexible with a positive attitude
- Physical strength and stamina
- Good communication skills
- Valid driver's license
- Clean driving record
This is a fast paced service department with a large clientele base, so a person who is able to stay mentally engaged is key to delivering a good customer service experience!
