Role Overview

The Plant Manager will be the driving force behind operational excellence, focusing on revenue growth, process efficiency, and fostering a culture of collaboration, respect, and empowerment. • Uphold rigorous safety standards to comply with OSHA regulations and company policies.
• Strategically develop and manage budgets to fund operations, maximize investments, and enhance efficiencies.
• Oversee various plant functions, including safety, quality assurance, production, maintenance, distribution, and cost accounting.
• Implement strategic business plans and allocate resources effectively to ensure project completion.
• Articulate the vision, strategy, and objectives for the plant, setting clear performance expectations.
• Monitor critical tasks, enforce adherence to processes, and ensure accountability across the team.
• Collaborate with the maintenance department and external vendors to manage preventive maintenance for optimal machinery performance.
• Reassess work staging and make necessary adjustments to fulfill customer demands promptly.
• Drive talent acquisition, retention, and demonstrate strong leadership in all aspects of plant staffing.
• Emphasize Lean Manufacturing principles and focus on safety, quality, productivity, and P&L management.
• Facilitate coordination and communication with Project Management, Purchasing, and Engineering departments to streamline operations.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in managing operations within an engineered-to-order manufacturing setting.
• A Bachelor’s degree is highly preferred, with a focus on industrial or mechanical engineering advantageous.
• Prior experience in an industrial steel manufacturing environment is desired.
• Proven track record in project management, involving complex materials and manufacturing processes within a steel fabrication context.
• Comprehensive knowledge of steel fabrication machinery and tools, their design, functionality, repair, and maintenance.
• Proficiency in applying quality control protocols to meet regulatory and testing requirements.
• A strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and methodologies.
