In 2015, we pioneered a "moneyball for biotech" approach, pooling projects and promising early-stage research from academia together under one financial umbrella to reduce risk and unleash innovation. This model allows science and small teams of experts to lead the way. We build bridges to groundbreaking advancements in rare disease, and develop life-changing medicines for patients with unmet needs as fast as humanly possible.
Together we define white space, push boundaries, and empower people to solve problems. If you're someone who defies convention, join us and work alongside some of the most respected minds in the industry. Together, we'll ask "why not?" and help reengineer the future of biopharma. At Bridge Bio, we value curiosity and experimentation-including the ethical & thoughtful use of AI to improve clarity, speed, and quality of work.
WhatYou'll Do
The Senior Director, GTM Strategy & Portfolio Planning will own the long-term go-to-market strategy for encaleret (Bridge Bio's oral CaSR negative allosteric modulator for Autosomal Dominant Hypocalcemia Type
1) and shape how Bridge Bio prioritizes and sequences investment across its broader endocrine portfolio. This role sits at the center of pre-launch strategy, indication sequencing, and portfolio-level resource planning, translating deep market and competitive insight into a durable multi-year commercial roadmap. The ideal candidate is a systems-level strategic thinker who has led at least one rare disease launch and can move fluidly between long-range portfolio strategy and the field-level realities that make a launch succeed.
You will report to the SVP, Sales & Marketing - Endocrinology, and be based in the San Francisco Bay Area with regular in-office collaboration.
- Own the end-to-end GTM strategy for encaleret - market entry sequencing, positioning, and long-range commercial roadmap - from pre-NDA approval through Year 1+ and beyond
- Lead marketing portfolio planning across Bridge Bio's endocrine pipeline, building the framework used to prioritize investment, sequence launches, and allocate commercial capacity across current and future assets
- Serve as the senior commercial strategist on the encaleret Product Team, embedding market, competitive, and portfolio insight into cross-functional planning with Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Market Access, R&D, and Patient Advocacy
- Partner with Value & Access and Finance to align long-term payer strategy, forecasting, and lifecycle planning with the broader endocrine portfolio roadmap
- Partner closely with the HCP Marketing, Patient Marketing, and KOL Engagement functions to ensure GTM and portfolio strategy translate into coordinated field execution, serving as the strategic through-line across these teams without direct management authority over them
- Build and govern the competitive intelligence, market research, and forecasting infrastructure that informs both encaleret's launch strategy and portfolio-level decision-making
- Develop and present long-term GTM and portfolio strategy updates to senior leadership and the Board of Directors
This is a hybrid, San Francisco Bay Area-based role, with in-office collaboration expected Tuesday through Thursday weekly across our San Francisco and Palo Alto offices, and ~25% travel for key congresses, advisory boards, and field engagement.
Who You Are- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced science degree preferred
- 12+ years of commercial biotech or pharmaceutical experience, including 7+ years in marketing, GTM, or portfolio strategy roles
- Rare disease launch and GTM strategy experience required; endocrinology or nephrology experience is a significant differentiator
- Demonstrated experience building portfolio planning frameworks, resource allocation models, or franchise-level prioritization across multiple assets
- Proven ability to lead through influence rather than authority, aligning marketing, medical, access, and R&D stakeholders around a shared strategy in a pre-launch, high-ambiguity environment
- Ability to travel ~25% for key congresses, advisory boards, and field engagement
- You have demonstrated curiosity and adaptability in adopting AI-powered tools and technologies
