Description
Position SummaryThe Safety Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the company’s health and safety programs to ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. This role promotes a culture of safety across all job sites and company operations by proactively identifying risks, conducting training, and ensuring adherence to company safety standards and OSHA requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of safety management experience, preferably in construction, HVAC, mechanical contracting, or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards.
- OSHA 30 certification required; OSHA 500 preferred.
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
- Experience conducting investigations, safety audits, and training programs.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in both office and field environments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and safety reporting systems.
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel to job sites as needed.
- This position requires regular travel to construction and service job sites and interaction with employees, subcontractors, and leadership teams in both office and field settings.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
- Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST)
- OSHA 500/510
- First Aid/CPR/AED Certification
- Basic understanding of budgeting and cost management.
- Willingness to travel to job sites as needed.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with local building codes and HVAC industry standards.
- Experience working with subcontractors and managing supplier relationships.
- Knowledge of sustainable and energy-efficient HVAC systems.
- Procore proficiency.
