Job Summary: The Call Center Assistant will be responsible for making outbound calls to students regarding their financial aid status and other enrollment initiatives throughout the year. The position will also answer inbound calls directed to the Call Center, providing high‑quality customer service and directing inquiries to the appropriate campus departments. Additionally, the Assistant will aid students and parents in completing the FAFSA in the student computer lab and will report to the Call Center Supervisor.
Dutiesand Responsibilities
- Making outbound calls to students and assisting in answering inbound calls directed to the Call Center
- Assisting students and parents with the financial aid process, including application assistance, acceptance of federal aid through the Banner software program, the E‑Sign process of federal loan promissory notes, and required online entrance counseling
- Providing exceptional customer service to students and families via phone, email, or in person
- Resolving customer issues and responding to inquiries appropriately
- Performing other duties as assigned by the Call Center Supervisor or Associate Director of Communications
Minimum Qualifications
- High school graduation or equivalent
- One year of customer service experience
