Dental Associates of North Alabama Decatur & Children's is excited to announce that we are hiring for an energetic, fun filled Dental Assistant for our Decatur office.

This full-time position is perfect for a strong, confident and well skilled team player that will operate with the values of our patients. This position requires 2 years of chairside experience.

Job Duties May Include:

• Greets patients in waiting area and escorts patients to the operatory
• Assists the dentist in the administration of treatment at the chair side as required or directed by the dentist
• Maintain a sterile and neat working environment according to current infection control procedures
• Review the health history, make chart entries under the direction of the dentist and assure completion of forms and signatures
• Assume the responsibility associated with any duties that may be delegated by the dentist
• Familiarize the patient with the aspects of their dental visit and provide support and compassion to that patient when it is needed
• Stock operatories and maintain clinical supply inventory
• Review daily schedule to set up appropriate trays and instruments
• Supervise preventive maintenance of dental equipment
• Take digital radiographs
• Follow practice protocols: quality assurance, biohazards, infection control, referral, emergency medicine, implants, perio program and emergency treatment

Schedule:

• Monday & Tuesday:700 AM - 4:00 PM (with 1 hour lunch)
• Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (with no official lunch possible
