General Medicine Physician Near Gallion, AL We are seeking a General Medicine Physician for a locum tenens role near Gallion, AL. This position involves conducting Compensation and Pension (C&P) exams and Separation Health Assessments to support our nation???s veterans. This is a flexible, PRN-based opportunity, ideal for physicians looking to supplement their practice while contributing to an essential service. The exams are primarily interview-based, with minimal physical assessment requirements, making it an efficient role for experienced providers across various specialties.

Compensation & Pension (C&P) Exams:
Conduct one-time, non-treatment C&P exams and separation health assessments for veterans. Exams are interview-based, with some physical assessments (range of motion testing, muscle strength testing, etc.). No treatment or prescription required. Coverage Options:
Travel and perform exams at designated facilities. Option to schedule veterans within your own practice. Work part-time (4-hour shifts) or full-time (8-hour shifts), depending on your availability.

Specialty Requirements:
We are accepting physicians from the following specialties:
Family Medicine Internal Medicine Orthopedic Surgery Physicians with a general medicine background or experience in compensation and pension exams. Familiarity with:
Musculoskeletal, diabetes, and cardiovascular conditions. Proficient in METs testing and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions. System Requirements:
Must use a goniometer for physical assessments. Proficiency with diagnostic tools related to veterans' health assessments. Certification Requirements:
Board Certified in your specialty. Active and unrestricted Alabama medical license. Willingness to complete DMA certification (CME credits available, certification required after privileging). Benefits:
