Duties
* Exercises financial responsibilities for the Child and Youth programs.
* Provides overall administrative support for the Child Development Center (CDC) and Youth Program (VP).
* Provides customer service and information on the operations and services of the CDC/YP to a patron population that consists of members of all four branches of the Armed Forces, their children, their civilian counterparts, and others.
* In the absence of the Center Director or Assistant Director acts as the supervisor on duty. Requirements Conditions of employment

* This is a child care position subject to background checks IAW PLl0l-647. A background investigation (SF 85) is required.
* If authorized, PCS will be paid IAW JTR and AF Regulations. If receiving an authorized PCS, you may be subject to completing/signing a CONUS agreement. More information on PCS requirements, may be found at:

* Full/part-time employees occupying direct childcare positions are eligible for discounts IAW DAF AFSVC/CC Memo, 30 Sep 22; first child 100% / each additional child 25%. Other assigned CYP and FCC personnel are eligible for 25% discount.
* Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted) you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period.
* Upon completion of your probationary/trial period, your employment will be terminated unless you receive certification, in writing, that your continued employment advances the public interest.
* This position requires an uncommon tour of duty, which will include nights, weekends, and holidays.
* Position requires certification in CPR, and training in first aid, medical, and security requirements and procedures;
May be required to substitute and assume duties of other clerk during absences.
* Upon completion of your probationary/trial period, your employment will be terminated unless you receive certification, in writing, that your continued employment advances the public interest.
* Must possess maturity and judgement, and be capable of handling emergency situations common in dealing with small children in a child development center environment. Complete training in the observation of symptoms of illness is desirable.
* May be responsible for dealing with children removed for the classroom due to unruly behavior or illness.
* Substitute as needed for caregiving staff during short or long absences during the day. While in the classroom, employee is required to perform all applicable caregiving duties.
* Acts as site supervisor in the absence of supervisor/director/assistant director. Performs other duties as assigned.
* Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted) you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period.
* Skill in typing; a qualified typist is required. The incumbent must have the ability to type a minimum of 40 WPM.;

* A FBI fingerprint and State Criminal History Repository (SCHR) Check will be completed on any person selected for this position.
