Job Summary:We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Maths Preparatory Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching mathematics to preparatory-level students, creating an engaging and stimulating learning environment, and helping students develop a strong foundation in mathematical concepts.
Key Responsibilities:Teaching and Learning:
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate maths lessons aligned with the school curriculum.
- Develop engaging lesson plans and activities to make mathematical concepts easy to understand.
- Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles.
- Assess student performance through tests, assignments, and projects.
- Provide individualized support and guidance to students needing extra help.
- Maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment.
- Encourage student participation and foster a love for mathematics.
- Establish clear rules and expectations for student behavior.
- Assist in the development and improvement of the preparatory maths curriculum.
- Incorporate innovative teaching strategies and tools to enhance learning.
- Provide regular feedback to parents on student progress and performance.
- Conduct parent-teacher meetings to discuss academic and behavioral progress.
- Stay updated on the latest teaching methods and trends in mathematics education.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events.
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
- Teaching certification or diploma in education (preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience at the preparatory level.
- Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate teaching strategies.
