Our church family is comprised of people from many backgrounds, and we are an active and growing congregation of believers. We are currently seeking applicants for
the position of Associate Pastor of Student Ministries / Education. We have a well established youth program with students from multiple local school systems, and an active supporting staff of volunteers.
Qualifications:
* A clear calling from God to vocational ministry
* Qualifications for Overseers found in 1 Timothy 3:1-7
* Experience working with youth is preferred
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Work with ministerial staff to lead the church in growing as disciples of Christ.
* Disciple students in 6th-12th grades.
* Participate in college student discipleship that is already established within the community.
* Lead student worship service on Wednesday nights.
* Develop and oversee an effective Student Ministry budget.
* Work with Ministerial staff and youth council to formulate a discipleship strategy for students.
* Recruit and train adult church members to work as volunteers within the student ministry.
* Plan and lead monthly student ministry events.
* Plan and lead bi-annual student ministry camps and/or mission trips.
* Maintain a clean and productive work and ministry space.
* Oversee the selection and acquisition of curriculum for all Sunday School classes, Wednesday night bible studies, and small groups.
* Hold quarterly meetings with all lay teachers to help train for upcoming studies.
* Perform general pastoral duties (baptism, weddings, funerals, etc.) as needed.
* Preach during Sunday morning worship as needed or when given the opportunity.
* Other duties as assigned by the Lead Pastor to advance the Gospel of Jesus.
