Location: Owens Cross Roads

Step into a rewarding role supporting young learners as a full-time School Psychologist near Owens Cross Roads, AL. This contract opportunity allows you to make a significant, positive difference by working at one dedicated elementary school. You'll be part of a team prioritizing direct student support, assessment, and special education services across six available positions.

Qualifications:
  • Active state licensure or certification as a School Psychologist.
  • Demonstrated experience providing psychological services in K-5 or elementary school settings.
  • Proficient in conducting psycho educational assessments, skill groups, and SPED evaluations.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with teachers, administrators, and families.
  • Commitment to on-site presence-virtual work is not available for this position.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Deliver comprehensive psychological services to support students' academic, emotional, and behavioral success.
  • Conduct assessments, interpret results, and contribute to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Work with special education teams and general education teachers to implement interventions and provide guidance.
  • Lead small skill groups to bolster social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Serve as a consultant for student support services, including crisis intervention and prevention programs.
  • Maintain thorough, confidential records in accordance with regulatory standards.
  • Partner with school families and staff to develop effective support strategies.
This role offers a consistent weekday schedule with 37.5 hours each week, affording you a dedicated connection to your assigned elementary school community. You'll have the chance to work alongside other psychologists, fostering professional growth and collaborative problem-solving.
