This opportunity spans from July 31, 2026, through May 27, 2027, providing the chance to make a lasting impact for students in a supportive school environment.

You'll work with a cohort of approximately 50 students, utilizing your expertise to foster positive outcomes in communication and language development.

Key

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
• State licensure (or eligibility) for SLP in Alabama
• School-based experience or familiarity with working in K-12 educational settings
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Commitment to fostering a collaborative and inclusive learning environment

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate students with speech, language, and communication challenges
• Develop and implement tailored therapy sessions to support student progress
• Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and other educational professionals to maximize student success
• Maintain accurate documentation, including progress notes and compliance paperwork
• Advocate for student needs and contribute to IEP meetings
• Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skillset
• Support a caseload of around 50 students, ensuring thorough attention to each individual's goals
