Aide/Paraprofessional - Instructional and Special Education

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Highly Qualified Requirements

Reports To:

• Principal or Principal designee and Special Education Coordinator

Responsibilities:

• Teach students while the teacher works with special groups.
• Assist teacher in general duties (i.e., duplicating, giving make-up tests).
• Provide assistance in standardized test preparation.
• Accompany students to the library and computer lab.
• Must lift, bent, squat as assignment may require.
• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned by the principals or Supervisor of Special Education.
• Maintain the confidentiality of student records.

Terms Of Employment:

• Salary and work year to be according to the current approved/applicable salary schedule.

Evaluation:

• Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Personnel.
