Job Description Skills

  • Must be a student of Great Basin College
  • Must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits for the semester and maintain a 2.0 GPA
  • Must qualify for Work Study or RSP through Student Financial Services
  • Computer experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Must be personal, prompt, take initiative and have great communication skills
Duties
  • Covering the front desk, answering the phone and greeting visitors
  • Scheduling appointments for academic advisors
  • Answering basic questions from students, other staff, faculty and community members and/or directing them to other departments as required
  • Work in an environment that handles confidential student files and paperwork, adhering to FERPA law and regulations
  • Special projects from advisors
  • Other duties as assigned
Salary

$15.00 per hour

Hours

Up to 19 hours per week with a maximum of 79.5 hours per month.
