Adjunct Faculty Members
The Department of Teacher Education and Leadership in the College of Education, Humanities, and Behavior Sciences at Alabama A & M University seeks one (1) adjunct faculty members to teach doctoral courses in the program for the Early Childhood/Elementary Education specialization. The PHD program courses are offered synchronous and asynchronous delivery platforms. Interested candidates should submit credentials for evaluation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Teach up to 6 semester hours of graduate courses per semester
- Design courses for online delivery
- Evaluate students' performance in all courses taught
Position Requirements (including certifications, licenses, etc.)
- A terminal degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education or Curriculum and Instruction with cognate or a terminal degree in Education Administration.
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of teaching experience at the college level, preferably in the graduate school or college of professional studies.
- Evidence of scholarship in the form of research articles, books, etc.
- Knowledge of graduate level content in the specializations mentioned above
- Ability to interpret research data
- Knowledge of the use of Analytics
- Ability to use Blackboard Collaborate Ultra instructional delivery platform
- Ability to deliver instructions online in the synchronous, asynchronous or hybrid modalities
