Norfolk Southern is seeking individuals for the Apprentice Signal Trainee program in Birmingham, AL. The hands-on, field-based role combines classroom instruction with on-the-job training to prepare you for a career in signal maintenance and railroad safety.
Training lasts about 52 weeks with classroom and field components at NS centers. Successful completion places you on the seniority roster and eligible to bid for Signal Maintainer positions; extensive travel and on-call duties are required.
