Summary:
The Department of Teacher Education and Leadership in the College of Education, Humanities, and Behavioral Sciences at Alabama A&M University invites applications from outstanding candidates for a visiting faculty position in Education Administration. This will be a nine-month non-tenure-track position at the rank of assistant or associate professor.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Teach Education Administration and other courses for the PHD in Curriculum and Instruction program.
- Produce scholarly research leading to publications in refereed journals.
- Advise students and engage in professional activities in the college.
- Serve on various committees in the department, college and university levels.
- Assist in the development and implementation of the College's instructional and institutional goals.
- Display excellence in teaching, intellectual contributions, effective advising, and service in the department, college and university levels.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements (including years of experience, certifications, licenses, etc.):
- A Ph.D. or EDD in Education Administration, Educational Leadership or related field.
- College or university level teaching experience.
- Candidates with a Ph.D. in a related field should have completed at least 18 semester credit hours of graduate level accounting courses.
- Demonstration of scholarly contribution through refereed journal publications and other intellectual contributions.
- Demonstration of excellence in oral and written communication skills.
