We are partnering with a large-scale industrial manufacturer in the Gulf Coast region that is investing heavily in next-generation technology and facility expansion. This organization operates in a highly automated, process-driven environment and is known for its long-term stability, strong safety culture, and commitment to continuous improvement.
The OpportunityOur client is seeking an Operations Process Engineer to support a newly launched manufacturing operation focused on downstream processing and packaging. This role begins on a project/startup team and transitions into a key operational position once the facility is fully commissioned.
The engineer will play a hands-on role in process optimization, equipment validation, and performance improvement within a high-throughput manufacturing environment.
What You’ll Do- Support startup activities including design review, commissioning, and equipment validation
- Optimize manufacturing processes related to finishing, packaging, and material handling
- Lead cross-functional improvement initiatives focused on quality, yield, throughput, and cost
- Analyze process data and develop control strategies and performance metrics
- Serve as a technical resource to operations and leadership teams
- Promote a strong culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or Materials)
- Experience in continuous-process or high-volume manufacturing (metals preferred)
- Strong problem-solving and data analysis skills
- Familiarity with control systems, instrumentation, and process modeling
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, startup-style manufacturing environment
- Hands-on, team-oriented mindset
- Comfortable leading technical projects and influencing peers
- Strong communication skills, both technical and interpersonal
- Organized, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities
- On-site role in South Alabama (Gulf Coast region)
- Primarily weekday schedule with flexibility during critical project phases
