Industrial Engineer

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in plastics, machinery manufacturing, or process technology preferred
• Strong background in Lean Manufacturing (Toyota Production System, Poka-Yoke)
• Experience with Value Stream Mapping, MTM or REFA
• Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD
• Strong hands-on technical ability with production equipment
• Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• English required;
  German and/or Spanish is a plus

We are seeking a driven and hands-on Industrial Engineer to join a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment in Cottondale, AL. This role will support manufacturing engineering, method engineering, and project management initiatives with a strong focus on continuous improvement, production planning, and equipment implementation.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field

• Automotive manufacturing experience
• Controls (Siemens) and Robotics (Kuka) – strongly desired
• Project management experience, especially with capital or secondary equipment

• Plan material flow in collaboration with logistics
• Design workstations and production layouts (ergonomics focus)
• Develop Value Stream Maps, flow diagrams, and production layouts
• Participate in new process/technology development and implementation
• Support process FMEAs and production-ready product design

• Identify and specify required secondary equipment
• Generate equipment specifications for special machines
• Oversee construction, acceptance, and launch of equipment
• Support daily production startup and series operations

• Serve as Sub-Project Manager within the PM team
• Manage timelines, budgets, and documentation
• Lead optimization and ratio improvement projects
• Develop process sequences and test plans with QA
• Support Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives
