About the Role

As a GNC Engineer, you will join the GN&C team on the Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) program.

In this role, you will:
  • Apply missile guidance, navigation, and control expertise to modeling and simulation
  • Integrate MATLAB/Simulink models into a 6‑DOF C++ simulation
  • Develop high fidelity models and simulation software
  • Build new source code in C++ and Python
  • Modify code in C++, C, MATLAB, Simulink, Fortran, Python, Linux shell, and YAML
  • Create unit tests
  • Execute simulation software on a high performance computing cluster including Linux systems or VMs
  • Work in an Agile Dev Ops environment with Docker/Container and Kubernetes deployment
  • Collaborate with the performance analysts, Flight Software team, and customer
  • Algorithm Development

Successful applicants generally have at least 1+ years of related experience and may have a post‑secondary degree or training in a related discipline, such as Aerospace Engineering (or other related field).

Desired skills
  • Guidance, Navigation, and Control algorithms development experience (Optimal Guidance, Optimal Control Theory, PID (Proportional Integral Derivative), Kalman Filter (KF) family Navigation algorithms, etc)
  • Familiarity with Agile software development
  • Distributed/parallel processing
  • Familiarity or experience with missile development or fire control
  • Cameo or Unified Modeling Language (UML)
  • CI/CD pipeline experience
  • Experience with generated code or autocode
