The Task Project Manager is responsible for overseeing projects and discrete task packages related to the replacement of large power transformers within a nuclear facility environment
. This role ensures all activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with regulatory, quality, and project requirements
. The Task PM serves as the primary coordination point across engineering, operations, maintenance, vendors, and regulatory stakeholders.
- Lead and manage task-level and project-level activities associated with large power transformer replacement
- Develop, track, and maintain project schedules, milestones, and task plans
- Coordinate internal teams and external vendors to ensure resource availability and sequencing
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions to maintain schedule and cost objectives
- Ensure strict adherence to nuclear safety standards, regulatory requirements, and site procedures
- Interface with engineering, operations, maintenance, procurement, and quality organizations
- Support outage planning, execution coordination, and post-installation closeout activities
- Maintain accurate project documentation, reporting, and status updates for leadership
- Enforce compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards throughout execution
- 10+ years of experience managing projects or task-level work in the nuclear industry
- Demonstrated experience managing large power transformer replacement projects
- Strong understanding of nuclear plant operations, outage coordination, and regulatory compliance
- Proven ability to manage complex, high-risk work scopes in safety-critical environments
- Excellent coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong planning, scheduling, and risk management capabilities
- PMP or equivalent project management certification.
- Experience working with OEMs and heavy equipment vendors
- Familiarity with nuclear QA programs and regulatory bodies (e.g., NRC standards)
