This position directly supports the production of an exciting new era Hypersonic Weapon System

As a Quality Engineer,  you will be a vital part of the manufacturing team that build the Hypersonic Weapon and your responsibilities will include:

-Ensuring product compliance through accurate flow down of Program/Customer requirements and physical configuration audits

-Ensuring non conformance's are accurately controlled, documented and dispositioned

-Trending Quality metrics

-Performing/leading root cause analysis and corrective action

-Helping resolve technical issues and communicating them back to the program and or Customer

-Helping dive process improvements and cost savings utilizing a continuous improvement mentality

* Basic Qualifications:

*
* To be successful in this role you will need to possess the following requirements:

- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in technical discipline  e g , engineering field  or equivalent discipline  e g , Chemical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering

- Knowledge of manufacturing/quality processes and documentation

- Ability to comprehend and interpret drawings, work instructions, schematics, and specifications

- Experience driving robust Corrective Actions Root Cause and Corrective Action

- Demonstrates thorough attention to detail

- Required to work off shifts, overtime and nonstandard work weeks as needed to meet product deliveries

- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance

** Desired

Skills:

*
* -Green Belt Trained and/or Certified Quality Engineer  CQE

- Experience with PR/MRB process  PR/QMRB certification preferred

- Understands lean manufacturing and quality optimization in a production environment

- Experience with SAP, P2P, VECAMS, and data analytics to report trends and achieve results

- Excellent communication skills to engage the team, customers and senior leader

- Resourceful self starter possessing a "learning orientation"

- Experience working independently with customers and suppliers

RCCA certification preferred  using tools such as:

5 Whys

Fishbone Diagram  Ishikawa

Failure Mode and Effects Analysis  FMEA

Fault Tree Analysis  FTA

The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility

** Work Schedules:
** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees   Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed   These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits

** Schedule for this Position:
** 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
