Technical Safety / Process Safety Workshop Facilitator – ERM Japan

ERM is currently seeking a Technical Safety / Process Safety Workshop Facilitator to support the enhancement of plant safety. This role involves providing technical expertise in process safety and leading client workshops and risk assessment sessions such as HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, Bowtie, and more. The facilitator will play a key role in promoting a strong safety culture through dialogue and collaboration with clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and document risk assessments related to process safety (e.g., HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, Bowtie, ALARP)
  • Plan, lead, and record client workshops and meetings
  • Support the development of technical materials and presentations
  • Collaborate with project managers and consultants to drive project success
  • Communicate effectively with domestic and international clients in both Japanese and English

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, safety engineering, or a related technical field
  • Native-level Japanese and business-level English proficiency
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Experience facilitating workshops or meetings

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of practical experience in process safety
  • Knowledge of risk assessment methodologies such as HAZOP
  • Experience working in consulting firms or engineering companies
