Education Requirements:- Associate degree in Electrical Engineering

, or a related field (required) - Bachelor’s degree is a plus
The Electrical Designer will support electrical design efforts by collaborating with engineers and cross-functional teams to develop system layouts, schematics, and wiring diagrams for industrial, building, and automation applications. This entry-level role requires strong proficiency in CAD software
, a solid understanding of electrical engineering principles
, and the ability to contribute to design projects in a highly organized and detail-oriented manner.
- Collaborate with project teams to understand electrical design requirements and objectives
- Develop electrical layouts, schematics, and wiring diagrams using CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, Solid Works Electrical, etc.)
- Design electrical systems for industrial machinery, building systems, and automation projects
- Select and specify electrical components, equipment, and materials
- Ensure all designs comply with applicable electrical codes, standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., NEC, IEEE)
- Assist in code reviews and design updates
- Work with engineers, architects, and other disciplines to integrate electrical systems into broader project designs
- Identify and resolve design-related issues, providing innovative and compliant solutions
- Create and maintain organized project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and bills of materials (BOMs)
- Prepare technical documentation for project deliverables
- Perform quality checks and peer reviews of electrical designs to ensure accuracy and completeness
- 1–10 years of experience in electrical design or a related field
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or Solid Works Electrical
- Knowledge of electrical engineering principles and design practices
- Familiarity with industry codes and standards (NEC, IEEE)
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality deliverables
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
- Experience with PLC programming and control systems is a plus
- Ability to build effective relationships with plant personnel, engineers, and vendors
