Responsibilities
- Manage slitter engineering processes for steel production, including hot rolled coil, cold rolled coil, and CHQ wire rod, ensuring technical specifications and material integrity.
- Direct and optimize heavy slitting line operations by synchronizing pickling process data with slitting parameters to minimize material stress and internal defects in CHQ products.
- Establish and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for surface treatment and mechanical shearing to maintain high-quality surface finish for subsequent cold forging and drawing processes.
- Lead engineering projects for yield improvement and scrap reduction by analyzing metallurgical properties of steel coils and adjusting knife clearances and tension control systems.
- Collaborate with R&D and Production to develop specialized processing techniques for new CHQ steel grades, evaluating pickling efficiency and shearability.
- Review and approve engineering budgets, equipment upgrades, and maintenance schedules for the slitting line to enhance workplace safety standards.
