-based manufacturing organization is seeking an Accounting and Finance Assistant Manager for a direct-hire, interim leadership opportunity. This role is designed for a seasoned accounting professional who is ready to step into increased responsibility, with a clearly defined transition into the Manager position upon the current manager's retirement in approximately two years. Hours & Pay
- Schedule: First shift - Monday-Thursday 7:00am-4:30pm;
Friday 7:00am-11:00am - Pay: $50,000-$55,000 per year

What You'll Do
- Oversee all accounting and finance functions across the organization
- Manage daily accounting operations including general ledger activity, journal entries, reconciliations, and issue resolution
- Handle cash management activities including disbursements, credit cards, foreign exchange transactions, and cash flow planning
- Lead month-end close processes and ensure timely, accurate completion
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
- Support ad-hoc financial and accounting projects as assigned
- Coordinate annual financial audits by fulfilling requests and liaising with auditors, corporate teams, and internal staff
- Collaborate with external tax preparation firms
- Partner with corporate controlling teams on annual budgeting and financial planning
- Review existing accounting processes and implement continuous improvements
- Support ERP operations, including an upcoming transition from BaaN to SAP
What You Bring
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- Minimum of 8 years of accounting experience, including manufacturing or production industry experience
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP compliance and general corporate tax principles
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems; SAP exposure is highly valuable
- Proficiency in Excel, MS Word, and Outlook
- Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), wage reporting, and general ledger management
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and adjust priorities
- Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and organizational levels
- Willingness to remain hands-on in daily accounting operations
