About the Position: This position serves as a Budget Officer at Fox Army Health Center. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation.
Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.
- Serves as the Budget Officer of the Resource Management Division (RMD) for Medical Department Activity, across three congressional appropriations.
- Responsible for obtaining, administratively controlling, and accounting for all funds of the command.
- Serves as a principal advisor to the Commander, on all matters pertaining to Fiscal Law and budgetary execution.
- Analyzes the organization's needs and prepares consolidated program estimates and requirements to include analyzing and recommending priorities between and among requirements.
- Plans, organizes, and directs the work of the Budget section of the Resource Management Department for MEDDAC.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- A one-year probationary period is required if the selectee has not previously met this requirement.
- This position is subject to a background investigation to determine your suitability for Federal employment.
- This is a DOD Financial Management position. The incumbent must complete Financial Management Certification training and meet position requirements for certification at Level 2 within 2 years of appointment.
- Failure to obtain and maintain the Financial Management Certification within the required time may subject the incumbent to adverse action.
- Incumbent is required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, (5
CFR Part 2634, Subpart I USOGE, 6/08). - Executive Branch Personnel Confidential Financial Disclosure Report upon entering the position and annually, in accordance with DOD Directive
5500-7-R, Joint Ethics Regulation, dated 17 Nov 2011. - All applicants tentatively selected for this position will be required to submit a urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment.
- This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random drug testing, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
- Temporary duty travel (TDY) may be required up to 5% of the time.
