Corporate Director of Tax and Grants
At Grupo Nueva Pescanova, a vertically integrated multinational and a leader in the seafood commercialization sector, we are looking to incorporate a Corporate Director of Tax and Grants.
This position, based in Vigo (Spain), will report directly to the Chief Financial, Systems and Communications Officer and will work closely with the Group's finance teams, as well as with external advisors and public authorities.
Mission of the RoleThe person joining as Corporate Director of Tax and Grants will be responsible for defining, planning, and implementing the Group's tax strategy, ensuring tax optimization within the legal framework and guaranteeing compliance across all geographies.
In addition, this role will lead the management of grants and public funding, identifying financing opportunities and ensuring their proper application and follow-up, contributing to the advancement of the Group's strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Tax strategy:
Define and implement the Group's tax strategy, aligned with the operating model, ensuring tax efficiency and mitigating tax risks. - Tax optimization:
Develop initiatives to optimize the tax burden within the applicable legal framework. - Reporting and compliance:
Oversee accurate tax reporting across the Group, ensuring consistency and quality of information. - Audits and inspections:
Coordinate tax audits, inspections, and requests from tax authorities, supporting and supervising local processes. - Transfer pricing:
Define the transfer pricing framework and ensure proper documentation. - Tax planning:
Prepare projections of Corporate Income Tax (impact on P&L) and related payments (cash flow), including the management of tax loss carry forwards and deductions. - Tax management in Spain:
Supervise tax advisory activities for Spanish entities, including monthly tax estimates and annual tax return reviews and payments on account. - Institutional liaison:
Act as the main point of contact with tax authorities at local, regional, and national levels. - Grants and funding:
Identify, assess, and manage public and private funding opportunities, including grant applications and follow-up. - Cross-functional advisory:
Provide tax advice and support to different areas of the Group.
We are looking for a senior professional with strong expertise in corporate taxation, a strategic mindset, and the ability to interact in complex and multinational environments.
Key Requirements:- Degree in Law, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- Master's degree in Tax or specialization.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in tax roles, with at least 4 years in multinational environments.
- Strong experience in corporate taxation and tax management.
- High level of English, both spoken and written.
- More than 10 years of experience in similar roles.
- Advanced knowledge of accounting and consolidation.
- Experience in grants or public funding management.
