We are seeking an experienced Commercial Lender for a community bank's Hazel Green, Alabama office, serving the Huntsville / Madison County market and the surrounding north-Alabama and southern-middle-Tennessee corridor. This role focuses on developing, managing, and growing a portfolio of commercial loan and deposit relationships, with an emphasis on owner-occupied commercial real estate, C&I, and small-business lending in a relationship-based, community-focused bank.

• Proactively generate new business through referrals, prospecting, and community involvement
• Analyze financial statements, tax returns, cash flow, collateral, and credit risk to structure loans
• Prepare credit memos and loan presentations in accordance with loan policy
• Monitor loan performance, covenant compliance, and credit quality
• Conduct annual reviews and renewals, addressing credit concerns proactively
• Cross-sell treasury and deposit services
• Collaborate with credit administration to ensure regulatory compliance
• Represent the bank within local chamber, civic, and community organizations

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field preferred
• 3+ years of commercial lending or related banking experience preferred
• Strong commercial credit analysis and underwriting skills; conservative, risk-aware credit judgment
• Owner-occupied C&I / small-business origination experience preferred over investor CRE
• SBA 7(a) or USDA B&I experience is a strong plus
• Working knowledge of state and federal banking regulations
• Established relationships in the Huntsville / Madison County market

Base salary of approximately $80,000 at the entry level, with bonus potential of up to 20%. Experienced producers with an established client portfolio may earn total compensation of up to $150,000.
