Location: Hayden

American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with ARRT(T), BLS, and Maine licensure for a large Level II Trauma Center radiation oncology department using Varian True Beam technology.

Job Details
  • Work in a hospital Radiation Oncology department at a Level II Trauma Center
  • Outpatient and inpatient adult/geriatric patient population with limited pediatric cases
  • Three Varian True Beam LINACs and one Siemens Somatom Go Open Pro CT simulator are used
  • Average daily patient volume is 90 across three LINACs
  • EMR used is Mosaiq;
    Mosaiq and/or Varian experience preferred
  • Floating to cover linacs as needed
  • No weekends or on-call requirements
  • Holiday coverage is done in rotation with other technologists
  • Shift options include either 5 eight-hour days or 4 nine-hour days with one half-day
  • Free parking is available
Job Requirements
  • Active BLS certification
  • Current ARRT(T) certification
  • Maine State Radiation Therapy license required, or compact license if applicable
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in radiation therapy
  • Preferred experience with Mosaiq EMR and True Beam equipment
  • Flu vaccination required for start dates after 9/30/2024, with medical exemptions reviewed on a case‑by‑case basis
  • Permanent address must be 100+ miles South/Southwest of the facility
  • Cannot have worked at any Northern Light Health Hospital in a permanent capacity
Additional Information

Main responsibilities include delivering radiation therapy using Varian True Beam LINACs and participating in team rotations. Team structure supports both outpatient and inpatient oncology patients. Orientation period is 1 to 1.5 weeks based on experience. First‑time travelers with relevant skills and experience will be considered. Scrubs must be any solid, professional color or will be provided if needed. Holiday time off is managed by rotation among staff and RTO requires manager approval.
