Phlebotomist Floater

Position Overview

Phlebotomist Float – Montgomery, AL.

Monday – Friday (6:00am–6:00pm), rotating Saturdays.

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments when necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Two (2) years or more of phlebotomy experience.

• Three (3) years or more of phlebotomy experience.

• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID‑19 or qualify for medical or religious accommodations.
• Must pass a standardized color blindness test.

• Employees scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, STD/LTD, 401(k), paid time off (PTO) or flexible time off (FTO), tuition reimbursement, and employee stock purchase plan.
• Employees scheduled to work less than 20 hours, casual, intern, and temporary employees are eligible only for the 401(k) plan.
• Employees scheduled for a seven-on, seven-off schedule receive all benefits except PTO or FTO.

• Float Incentive:
  Additional $1.00 per hour plus mileage reimbursement.
• Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
