Flight Paramedic
Starting at $20.92+ DOE.
We’re hiring a Flight Paramedic to work with our team of air transportation experts to safely transport patients to and from medical facilities as well as scene call work. The role focuses on safety and efficient patient care as a key pillar of our services.
Responsibilities- Complete and submit electronic patient care records for each dispatched flight within the specified timeframe.
- Perform daily base checks, including narcotic counts.
- Provide pre‑hospital and intra‑hospital advanced life support care from initial contact until patient care is relinquished to the accepting medical facility, maintaining thorough documentation.
- Maintain competency in knowledge and psychomotor skills through ongoing laboratory and clinical experiences.
- Track and maintain documentation of required licensure, certifications, continuing education, safety, and advanced procedures in the Employee Education Manual.
- Use and routinely maintain all equipment and supplies used by emergency programs.
- Maintain positive interpersonal relationships with colleagues, EMS representatives, hospitals, and the public.
- Act as a medical flight member, attending pre‑mission briefings and mission debriefings and completing necessary documentation.
- Assist in pre‑mission liftoff checklist and provide pilot assistance when needed (radio, navigation, visual observation).
- Comply with safety standards to ensure the safety of self, medical personnel, patient, and equipment prior to liftoff.
- Conduct aircraft safety briefings as needed.
- Fill open or vacant shifts within the assigned area as directed by the Regional Director.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a 911 or critical care setting.
- Current EMT‑P license/certification in the state(s) served by the assigned area.
- Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and trauma certification before flight status.
- Advanced Certification (FP‑C) preferred, required within 24 months of hire.
- Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, and ITLS/PHTLS preferred.
- NREMT‑P certification may be required in the assigned area.
