The Patient Care Aide (PCA) works under the direction of the RN/LPN to provide direct patient care and maintain patient care standards. The PCA must be able to work with people from diverse backgrounds, organize and prioritize, and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
Education required:
High School or GED. BLS required before orientation; CNA class completion from a state-approved program; EMT certification accepted.
