We are a caring family seeking support for our 85 yo mother, who is currently recovering with home health PT/OT rehab following a recent incident. She occasionally uses a walker as she regains her strength and needs support with mobility and activities of daily living. Despite some physical limitations, she is sharp, cognitively engaged, and fully herself. Our desire is to partner with a caregiver who is warm, compassionate, and patient, someone who treats her not just as a client, but as a person to genuinely know and care for.
Our need is for a caregiver who can independently manage her daily care routine, assist safely with mobility and transfers, help with medication reminders, and ensure she stays nourished and hydrated throughout the day. Cooking skills are a big plus. Our Mom has a good appetite and we'd love someone who enjoys preparing meals she'll look forward to.
Overall duties include:- Mobility & Fall Prevention Support
- Assist with safe transfers and movement using her walker; attentive to fall risk throughout the day. - Activities of Daily Living
- Support with personal care, dressing, hygiene, and daily routines. - Nourishment & Hydration
- Prepare meals and snacks, encourage regular hydration, and support a consistent eating routine. - Medication Reminders
- Support with daily medication schedule. - Companionship
- Engage her in conversation, activities, and daily life with warmth and patience. - Light Household Support + Laundry
- Transportation - to/from activities, errands and medical appointments
Qualifications:- Female provider
- Experience with mobility support + fall-risk awareness
- Enjoys cooking and preparing nourishing meals.
- Responsible, attentive, and proactive.
- Excellent communication skills and receptive to feedback.
- Non-smoker.
- Reliable transportation.
- Stellar driving record.
- Great references.
- Clean background check required.
