Job Summary
This role involves sorting returned, soiled linen into appropriate categories in preparation for washing.
Responsibilities- Open customer soil bags (~45 lbs.), discard plastic, and spread contents for visibility on the soil belt, aiming to process 45 bags or 2000 lbs. per hour.
- Operate on the work platform, moving between positions to sort items into designated bins or slots.
- Transport empty carts for cleaning and reuse.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Seek approval for unusual or outside-normal operations.
- Dispose of non-regular items appropriately upon identification.
- Call maintenance for equipment repairs and tag broken carts.
Physical ability to lift 0-50 lbs, bend, twist, and manipulate items; proficiency in grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine manipulation; ability to work in a physically demanding environment near moving machinery and in varying weather conditions; awareness of safety protocols related to exposure to fumes and airborne particles.
