About the Role:

As a Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for patients across various healthcare settings. You will be responsible for dispensing prescription medications accurately while providing expert guidance on medication therapy management to optimize patient outcomes. Your role will involve collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and pharmacy best practices.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid pharmacist license to practice in the United States.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacology, pharmacoeconomics, and medication therapy management.
• Experience in hospital, clinical, or retail pharmacy settings.
• Excellent communication skills for effective patient counseling and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in Immunization Delivery or Pharmacy Benefit Management.
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and pharmacy management software.
• Advanced training or certification in clinical pharmacy or pharmacotherapy.
• Demonstrated expertise in manual dexterity for precise medication preparation and dispensing.
• Previous experience in a multidisciplinary healthcare team environment.

Responsibilities:

• Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Conduct medication therapy management to assess, monitor, and optimize patient medication regimens.
• Provide patient counseling on medication use, side effects, interactions, and adherence strategies.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop and adjust treatment plans based on clinical evidence and patient needs.
• Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, storage, and proper handling of medications.
• Administer immunizations and educate patients on vaccine benefits and schedules.
• Maintain detailed and accurate patient records and pharmacy documentation.
• Stay current with advancements in pharmacoeconomics, clinical pharmacy, and pharmacy benefit management to inform practice.
• Ensure compliance with hospital, retail, or clinical pharmacy policies and regulatory requirements.
