We are currently seeking a Human Resources Manager a client in the automotive industry. This role is a contractor or direct hire position based in Elkmont, AL that requires onsite presence and supports a manufacturing facility with close collaboration across production, operations, and leadership teams. PURPOSE:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Human Resources Manager to lead all human resources functions for a manufacturing facility. This leadership role is responsible for driving HR strategy while supporting employee engagement, regulatory compliance, workforce development, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), talent acquisition, payroll and benefits administration, and organizational growth. The ideal candidate will partner closely with leadership to foster a safe, compliant, and high-performing workplace culture.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead all Human Resources functions for the manufacturing facility, ensuring compliance with company policies and employment regulations.
  • Partner with leadership to support employee relations, performance management, conflict resolution, and workforce planning.
  • Develop and implement HR policies, programs, and initiatives that promote employee engagement, retention, and organizational growth.
  • Oversee Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) programs, ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other applicable regulations while fostering a strong safety culture.
  • Manage employee training, onboarding, leadership development, and workforce development programs.
  • Lead full-cycle recruitment for hourly and salaried positions, including sourcing, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding.
  • Administer employee compensation, benefits, payroll support, workers' compensation, and leave programs.
  • Manage the company's 401(k) retirement plan and coordinate with external providers to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee employment-based immigration and visa programs in partnership with legal counsel and government agencies.
  • Maintain HR records, regulatory reporting, and support internal and external audits while ensuring confidentiality of employee information.
  • Build relationships with educational institutions, staffing partners, and community organizations to support talent acquisition initiatives.
  • Drive continuous improvement across HR processes while supporting business objectives and operational excellence.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Safety Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of Human Resources leadership experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience managing Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) programs within a manufacturing facility.
  • Experience with payroll administration, employee benefits, and employee relations.
  • Experience supporting employment-based immigration and visa programs is preferred..
REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and HR compliance.
  • Experience leading employee relations, investigations, performance management, and conflict resolution.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations, workplace safety programs, and environmental compliance.
  • Experience developing and delivering employee training and workforce development programs.
  • Full-cycle recruiting experience for manufacturing and technical positions.
  • Experience administering employee benefits and payroll processes.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and project management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and coaching abilities.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
PREFERRED

SKILLS:
  • Experience in an automotive manufacturing or Tier 1 supplier environment.
  • Experience with employment-based immigration and visa sponsorship programs.
