SAN System Administrator

Overview

Abacus Technology is seeking a Systems Administrator to provide SAN administration for the Air Force Intranet Control (AFINC) III Support program at Maxwell AFB/Gunter Annex. This is a full‑time position.

• Perform system monitoring, incident analysis, and security compliance/auditing, including DISA STIGs, DoD Directives/policies and best practices.
• Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning.
• Provide monthly storage reports and notify government leadership with any known system utilization constraints/issues.
• Perform normal system upgrades for both software and hardware, performance tuning and also perform scripting for normal procedure automation.
• Provide routine administrative support for SAN infrastructure including LUN management, SAN Aggregate allocation, and Storage Allocation.
• Work closely with system and application administrators when provisioning/deprovision storage.

5+ years experience in SAN systems administration. HS diploma or GED. Must be Security+ certified. Must hold one of the following certifications:
Dell Information Storage and Management Foundations or Dell Power Max Maintenance. Extensive experience supporting system implementations including design, architecture, disaster recovery procedures, provisioning, software installations and configurations for systems. Experience in administration of CIFS, NFS, FC configurations, fabric switches and configurations, Dell Data Domain systems, Veritas Net Backup, VMware environments, and Windows Operating systems. Must have excellent communication skills. Must be a US citizen and hold a current Secret clearance.
