Position: Logistics Management Specialist with Security Clearance
Location: Redstone Arsenal

Duties As a Logistics Management Specialist at the NH-0346-2 broadband level, some of your typical work assignments may include:
* Help identify the specific requirements for money, manpower, materiel, facilities, and services required to support the Program Manager's (PM) cost, schedule and performance objectives.
* Assist with correlating PM objectives with Program plans to assure required logistics support is provided at the right time and place.
* Help coordinate and evaluate logistics support to identify and execute specific requirements, identify and mitigate risk, and develop and adjust plans and schedules for the actions required to meet each requirement on time.
* Coordinate with higher level specialists to jointly research and help develop readiness and logistics plans, strategies, and procedures focused on delivering a MDS capabilities that are effective, efficient, and supportable to meet operational requirements. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Acq Demo Business and Technical Management to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

* This is an acquisition position coded Foundational in Life Cycle Logistics. Selectee must obtain mandatory DA WIA certification within 24 months of entrance on duty.
* Selectee must acquire 80 continuous learning points every two years. Qualifications You may qualify at the NH 02 Broadband Level, if you fulfill the following qualifications:

A. One year of general experience equivalent to the NH-01 or GS-4 grade level in the Federal service as listed below and must meet 2 of the 3 specialized experience listed below to be qualified:
* Applying logistics processes, policies, procedures, and practices necessary to develop and assess technical and economic feasibility, including cost, schedule and performance for major weapon system programs.
* Researching, planning, coordinating, and briefing logistics actions in support of leadership's goals and vision.
* Identifying and applying the concepts, policies, and practices of logistics management as they apply to new and in-service systems during all acquisition phases of the life cycle.

B. Successfully completed a full 4-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree, in an accredited college or university., OR

C. You have some general experience as described in A, but less than one year; and you have more than one year but less than two years of education as described in

B. You have computed the percentage of the requirements that you meet, and the total is at least 100%. (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of graduate education beyond the first year by 18. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify.)
