The Quality & Safety Manager is responsible for overseeing and implementing safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment for all employees. Performing Process Verification and Quality Audits to ensure proper installation and job duties meet company standards and specifications. They will work closely with management and staff to identify potential safety hazards, develop and implement safety training programs, and ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards.

The Safety Manager will also conduct regular safety inspections, investigate accidents or incidents, and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.

Description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement safety policies and procedures per local, state, and federal regulations.

2. Conduct regular safety inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.

3. Provide safety training to employees on topics such as proper lifting techniques, emergency procedures, and the use of personal protective equipment.

4. Investigate accidents or incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.

5. Collaborate with management and staff to create a culture of safety awareness and promote safe work practices.

6. Maintain records of safety training, inspections, and incident reports to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

7. Stay current on industry trends and best practices in safety management to continuously improve safety programs.

8. Perform process Audits to ensure staff is following company quality standards.

9. Conduct Quality Audits in all installations to ensure the squareness and fit of items tacked before weld-outs.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.

- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation preferred.

- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in safety management or a related field.

- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software programs.

- Ability to read and interpret Blueprint weld callouts and specifications.

The Quality & Safety Manager plays a crucial role in maintaining a safe work environment and protecting the well-being of employees. They must be proactive, detail-oriented, and knowledgeable about safety regulations to fulfill their responsibilities effectively.
