ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Assist with the installation of fixtures and products for new, relocated, and renovated stores.
  • Provide technical support for crews at the project site.
  • Communicate with the Project Coordinator during the entire install process to meet daily goals.
  • Work with the Regional Project Supervisor to keep each project within the schedule time provided.
  • Manage and oversee the training of project coordinator(s) throughout various projects.
  • Manage the inventory for each new store and ensure it is accurate once installation is completed.
  • Review and critique the installation process and make recommendations for improvements or changes.
  • Ensure all projects are on schedule and alert office personnel if there are any changes.
  • Work in a professional manner with factory representatives installing their product in stores.
  • Work in a professional manner with representatives from other companies performing services for O’Reilly (e.g., electrician, phones, alarm, general contractor).
  • Allocate job tasks to each team member according to their abilities.
  • Manage the attendance sheets for all team members.
  • Ensure safety is a priority at each project site.
  • Ensure the Store Installation Checklist is complete and returned in the red folder at the close of each project.
  • Manage the Comdata account used for team member per diem and miscellaneous expenses.
  • Ensure O’Reilly rules of conduct are maintained by all team members on all projects (during and after hours).
  • Comprehend all store floor plans.
  • Maintain all assets, i.e., company tools, vehicle, etc.
  • Meet company deadlines.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma.
  • Experience in retail merchandising and fixture assembly.
  • Proven current or former Store Manager.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, and people‑training skills.
  • Self‑motivated and able to work without direct supervision.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good math and organizational skills.
  • Ability to drive or fly to weekly projects and arrive on schedule.
  • Driving record meets the company’s 14/18 point system.
  • Personal vehicle for transportation to and from projects.
  • Available to travel away from home for extended periods on a continual basis.
  • Willingness to work M‑F and weekends as needed.
  • Ability to manage personal finances while traveling and use company credit card or similar method for travel expenses.
  • Willingness to take direction and constructive criticism from supervisors and office personnel.
  • Team player.
  • Ability to climb scaffolds or ladders to install O’Reilly décor.
Desired Skills
  • College degree with emphasis in Business Administration.
  • Experience in store design and installation and proven current or former Store Manager.
