This position is located at our Bayou La Batre, AL facility.

Our Welders are an integral piece of our work on a daily basis. Some of your daily functions will include:

• 3 to 5 years of experience welding aluminum in a marine or industrial environment.
• Proficiency in MIG and/or TIG aluminum welding.
• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and ship drawings
• Knowledge of aluminum alloys commonly used in shipbuilding (e.g., 5083, 5086, 6061)
• Fit, tack, and weld assemblies for hulls, decks, superstructures, and outfitting
• Understanding of welding distortion control and heat input management
• Ability to produce quality work with minimum to no rework
• Excellent math skills with the ability to read a tape measure accurately.
• Must be able to weld aluminum proficiently.
• Perform rework and repairs as required by QA/QC or inspection results
• Must be able to weld in any position (uphill, horizontal, vertical, or flat)
• Ability to operate power equipment safely and comply with all safety standards.
