The ideal candidate will participate as a member of the Arcelor Mittal NOES Project Team as the leader of the facility maintenance team. This candidate will join a project team launching the 600,000 square foot facility, recruit and hire the facilities maintenance team, participate in commissioning the plant and lead the facilities team as the business ramps up.

• An engineering degree (mechanical, electrical, chemical) is preferred – equivalent experience in the facilities field will be considered in lieu of degree

• Ability to troubleshoot equipment and assist maintenance with problem solving
• Experience with maintaining boiler systems, air compressor systems, switch gear systems, water treatment plants, and acid regeneration plants
• Demonstrated basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Ability to work with minimum supervision
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal communications skills, written and verbal
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret site blueprints and schematics

• Ability to develop scopes of work for jobs to be completed by a third party
• High aptitude for technical problem solving
• Leadership experience
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations

• Knowledge of GPR (Ground Penetrating Radar) preferred

• Experience managing and coordinating contractors to ensure timely completion of jobs
• Experience with project and process documentation

• Knowledge of Arcelor Mittal Calvert safety regulations a plus

• Familiarity with SAP
