Level 2 Kitting Planner (Material Requirements Planner)
Location: Courtland, Alabama (Lockheed Martin Space facility)
Role Overview: In this role, you will support the tactical and strategic needs of a fast‑paced, highly technical build cycle. No two days will be the same, but every day will be filled with supporting the creation of some of the most technically advanced items ever to fly.
Responsibilities- Production order release, monitoring, and closure
- Responsible for transactions within SAP related to the new production kitting strategy for Space within a Flow Center capacity
- Kitting contracted material in a production environment
- Facilitation of kit creation and delivery
- Material Master creation and management
- Manufacturing Bill of Material review
- Monitoring and recording of material usage
- Exception message monitoring and control
- Understand a high‑level status of all WIP and related consumable demand
- Conduct floor stock availability and expiration date audits
- 1–2 years of prior Supply Chain or Shop Floor Support experience in a technical manufacturing environment (e.g., Aerospace, Automotive, Farm Implement, etc.)
- Experience working in an ERP/MRP environment (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
- Must be a United States citizen with an active Secret security clearance
- Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years of prior Supply Chain or Shop Floor Support experience in a technical manufacturing environment (e.g., Aerospace, Automotive, Farm Implement, etc.)
- Experience in SAP
- Experience with manufacturing in a development environment
- Experience with manufacturing Defense products
- APICS/ASCM certification(s)
- Experience working with a Quality Management System (AS or ISO)
- Green Belt certification
