Loader Operator

Job Responsibilities

• Operate loader to move and stack poles and other materials.
• Accurately load and unload poles and other products on and off transportation vehicles.
• Process associated paperwork to ensure the accuracy of incoming and outgoing products.
• Maintain operation of the loader, ensuring safe handling and cleanliness of equipment, products, and work area.
• Work closely with all employees without supervisory responsibilities.
• Loading and unloading wood poles and other material to/from railcars or trailers.
• Operate all equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.
• Clean and maintain equipment and work areas to ensure proper functioning and safe working conditions.
• Handle materials safely to prevent damage and breakage to products.
• Move and organize material within the site to maximize space and efficiency.
• Maintain accurate inventory.
• Read work orders to build loads for delivery based on customer specifications.
• Cooperate with management and co-workers to achieve safety, quality, and production goals.
• Perform daily maintenance and safety checks on the wheel loader.
• Follow all safety regulations and requirements required for Zero Harm compliance.
• Follow the KUIP ISO 9001 Quality Management System, maintaining role competency; supervisors/managers must ensure team competency, documented training, and process compliance.
• Perform other work-related duties as required.

• Experience running heavy machinery.
• Ability to work overtime.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction).
• Experience working in small teams.
• Basic computer skills (scanning, emailing) preferred.
