Job Description
Maintain and operate machinery to produce quality cable that meets customer specifications. Ensure the efficient running of production while working safely, with attention to detail, and collaborating closely with co‑workers. Hiring for 2nd, 3rd, or Swing shifts.
Key Responsibilities- Machine set up (calibration, cleaning, etc.) to start a production cycle.
- Control and adjust machine settings such as speed.
- Feed material or product to semi‑automated machines.
- Perform quality checks with precision using measuring devices.
- React to issues that might occur during the shift.
- Check output to spot any quality issues.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance throughout the shift.
- Utilize SOPs, CDA’s, and TI’s as a resource document.
- Change machine over from one product to another effectively and efficiently.
- String machine up and select the correct dies.
- Produce quality product with zero to minimal scrap.
- Maintain standard efficiency and keep machine uptime and speed to standard levels.
- Basic math skills.
- In‑house forklift training.
- Basic computer training, including but not limited to SAP and MDC, on shop floor.
- Reading measurement equipment, including OD tape, calipers, micrometers, scales, and electronic measuring equipment.
- High School or GED diploma – required.
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
- Physical requirements:
stand 8‑12 hours, bend/stoop to floor level 30–60 times per shift, push/pull/roll weight in excess of 100 pounds, lift 50 lbs.
